This video guitar
lesson is by Matt Brown, guitar instructor at
JamPlay.com. Matt shows how to
play 'When I Come Around' by Green Day.
About the Song:
"When I come Around" is a single from Green
Day's hit album "Dookie" released in 1994. It really gained
popularity during their performance at Woodstock 1994
(remember, the massive mud fight?).
It is said that Billy Joe Armstrong, Green Day's front man &
guitarist, wrote the song after having a fight with
Adrienne, his wife. He decided he needed to spend more time
alone with her. Apparently the song did the trick because as
of 2007, he is still together with her with two songs.
Like most Green Day songs, this one is a piece of cake to
play. It is in the key of F# Major (F Sharp Major) & works
with the F#5, C#5, D#, and B5 power chords.
