Fender Standard Stratocaster® Review

The Fender Stratocaster is  the guitar that revolutionized rock music forever. This is the foundation from which all strat models come from, played by artists too many to name.

The Standard Stratocaster was among the first guitars to offer a countered body, which makes it easier play. I am trying out a model with the maple neck. This neck provides a very fast and smooth action, and the frets are just the right size to give a real bluesy sound when played with heavy strings (metal-on-metal sound).

This model is just a little heavy to wear around the neck, but not bad. The tremolo is your basic stock tremolo, nothing great. This guitar is not for those who use heavy tremolo. But the sound of this guitar and the ease at which it can be played is pretty amazing.

This guitar is perfect for beginning and intermediate players trying to get a blues or rock sound. If you are an advanced player, and like the strat sound, consider some of the Custom and Classic models offered by Fender.
